In 2019 I bought my reddish-brown Beara Beara zip top flat bottom tote, with one singular inside side zipper pocket. My ex boyfriend had been in love with Beara Beara’s bags, we’d visit their old shop upstairs above a coffee shop, and it was such a beautiful magical workshop. The staff were very kind to us, and let us take out time trying on different styles in the mirror. He chose a gorgeous doctor looking bag he’d later travel with for long weekends. And I chose this gorgeous tote bag that I’m still deeply in love with today. I’m not exaggerating when I say that I get complimented on this bag everytime I wear it. When I get compliments, I laugh and say “the shopkeeper gave me 10% off because this bag had a scratch on it!” Because now that the bag has evolved with me for 7 years, the aging of the leather, wear and scratches, has only added beauty to the bag. And I’ve seriously gotten my money’s worth from this bag. It’s traveled all over the world with me through snow, rain, subway station floors, and airport overhead bins. This was a transitional piece that helped me find my style after graduating university, when I wasn’t ready for a mature womanly purse yet needed to stop dressing like a teenager while still keeping the cool and fun elements of my personal taste. This bag did everything. Perfect to store a small MacBook Pro, journal, waterbottle, and then some. This leather color inspired the rest of my wardrobe. I’m going to use this bag until the handles break, which won’t be for many many years. I’m so happy to only now learn about the company’s story with a thoughtful message, and I’m looking forward to making another Beara Beara purchase to compliment what I have and suit the woman I am now. Amazing brand, I have shopped here for years. The craftsmanship is impeccable and the leather ages beautifully over the years. Love the Kings Cross shop, I had fantastic service there recently from a young Australian girl. Very knowledgeable and friendly.
